#ThankYou Behavioral Technicians

Happy Thursday! For today’s #ThankYou we’re highlighting Caite, a registered behavior technician (RBT) from Bristol, Connecticut.

Similar to applied behavioral analysis (ABA) specialists, RBTs are paraprofessionals who often work one-on-one with students with developmental and behavioral challenges. As you can imagine, COVID-19 has presented some challenges to this model of intervention! Her school has reduced in-person staff, with some faculty providing services remotely, and has made adjustments to avoid overlap between groups during the day. For those who continue to report in person to help facilitate students’ learning, like Caite, they make sure to protect themselves and their students by wearing face masks, eye goggles, and face shields throughout the day.

We'd like to give a big 'thank you' to Caite and all the paraprofessionals and support staff who continue to adapt and work through challenges to provide much-needed support to our kids!
