#ThankYou ER Doctors
It’s time for another appreciation post! This time, we would like to show our appreciation for Dr. Ruchi, an emergency room (ER) doctor from NYC.
She worked in a hospital that was completely overrun with incoming patients in the spring, initially opting to close down certain units and convert others into designated COVID units. Soon, however, the hospital became almost entirely filled with COVID patients, leaving no space to isolate non-COVID patients. Like many hospitals, PPE there was scarce in the beginning of this influx, resulting in a number of Dr. Ruchi’s colleagues becoming sick. Thankfully, Dr. Ruchi never got sick herself, and she was able to work continuously to help those in need. We thank Dr. Ruchi and everyone who works in ERs across the country for their bravery and continued dedication to fighting the ongoing pandemic.
