#ThankYou Fire Department of Pelham, NY
Updated: Sep 8, 2020
When COVID-19 cases in New York were on the rise, the Fire Department of Pelham, New York organized food drives to local hospitals, gave away free masks to people in their community, and promoted local businesses and restaurants. They also organized donning drill challenges for Feeding Westchester, a local chapter of Feeding America.
The Fire Department members helped disseminate COVID-19 safety information to their community, and responded to multiple COVID-19 cases each day. We appreciate you!
Each week, we recognize individuals and groups working hard on the front lines and behind the scenes to keep their communities safe. Would you like to see someone from your community featured here on our website and social media? Send us a submission at worldstayedhome@gmail.com.
