#ThankYou Hospital Workers

This week we would like to give a huge THANK YOU to this amazing team of nurses (in blue), along with Joan, their unit secretary, and a phlebotomist (in gray).

This team works in a hospital in Raleigh, NC in the Perioperative Planning Center. This unit is responsible for making sure that patients are ready for surgery. When the pandemic started, they shifted in-person visits to phone calls wherever possible, and many staff members were redeployed to other areas of the hospital to help units that were in need of extra hands. Since then, their unit has continued to mandate mask wearing, frequently disinfect commonly touched surfaces, and limit the amount of patients in their unit at a time. As cases started to spike again, they were able to shorten in-person visits for testing by completing their paperwork over the phone prior to appointments.

In order to help keep themselves and people in their community safe, every single member of this incredible team has already received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. THANK YOU to Joan and her colleagues at the Perioperative Planning Center for all you do for your community!
