Today’s post is dedicated to Dr. Maryann Buetti-Sgouros, a pediatrician (and new author!) from New York.

During the first wave of the pandemic, Dr. Buetti-Sgouros adhered to the ever-changing CDC guidelines while continuing to care for her patients. She unfortunately contracted COVID-19, but made a full recovery with no long term symptoms. Recently, Dr. Buetti-Sgouros did her part to further help protect her community by receiving the COVID vaccine!

Despite being the pediatric department chair at a local hospital, seeing outpatients at her practice, and being a mother, she found the time to publish a children’s book! It’s titled “I’m Not Scared to Get a Shot”. Dr. Buetti-Sgouros hopes to inspire readers to be brave and feel at ease during this very common procedure.
